Year-end reminders and important dates

As we near the end of 2024, please be aware of the following upcoming dates and deadlines that could impact you and your clients.

Important year-end dates to note:

November 28-29 (holiday)

F&G offices closed

December 2:

To ensure applications are issued by year end, they must be received in good order by this date.  Applications received in good order after this date will be worked in the order they are received but may be issued after the end of the year.

December 10:

Life Sales Support will be unavailable on Tuesday December 10th due to an all-team meeting.  All other life business areas will be available.  For sales inquiries, please send an email to life.sales@fglife.com and we will respond as soon as possible when we return to the office.

December 13:

Pending life applications must have all underwriting & new business requirements received by F&G New Business in order to be issued prior to end of year.

  • Requirements include telephone interviews, exams/labs and APS as well as financial or supplemental underwriting.
  • We recommend that telephone interviews are completed by December 9 in order to be received by December 13.
  • Due to the time needed for shipping and receipt of exams and lab work, we recommend these are completed by the client no later than December 4.
  • F&G orders and follows up on all APS requirements and we will do our best to expedite, but cannot guarantee a turnaround time for receipt.

December 23:

Premiums must be received by F&G Policyholder Services in order for the policy to be placed in force prior to end of year.

  • A completed, in good order, bank draft (PAC) form for monthly premium payments must be on file indicating authorization to “draft on approval”.
  • Check payments or wires must be received by this date.

December 25 (holiday):

F&G offices closed

January 1 (holiday):

F&G offices closed

Full Corporate Office and Policyholder Services holiday closures.

It is possible your business will be underwritten and issued prior to year-end even if the above deadlines are not met, however we kindly request your partnership in working within these timeframes in order for us to deliver you the best service experience.
