Special Notice for Kansas Licensed Life Insurance Agents and Marketing Organizations

Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company (“Fidelity & Guaranty Life”) wants to alert you to an important change regarding the life insurance application process and use of conditional receipts in connection with the sale of our life insurance policies.

Please be advised that the Kansas Insurance Department (the “Department”) has recently clarified its interpretation of Kansas law regarding temporary life insurance.

Fidelity & Guaranty Life will no longer permit insurance producers in Kansas to accept initial premium payments from applicants when they submit their insurance applications and will no longer issue conditional receipts to Kansas life insurance applicants. This change in process is effective for all applications written on or after April 1, 2016. Any premium received with applications on or after this date will be rejected and returned to the payor. In other words, Fidelity & Guaranty Life will only accept life insurance premium after the policy is delivered.
