New Hampshire Mandatory Pre-Appointment State for Fidelity & Guaranty Life
New Hampshire is a pre-appointment state. Pre-appointment states require the writing agent to have an active license and state approved appointment prior to soliciting business. Effective immediately, FGL requires agents/agencies in these states to be appointed with FGL prior to the solicitation of business, both resident and non-resident.
Which States are Pre-Appointment States?
Currently, there are 15 pre-appointment states. They are:
Alabama
Iowa
North Carolina
Utah
Delaware
Louisiana
Pennsylvania
Wisconsin
District of Columbia
New Hampshire
South Carolina
Wyoming
Georgia
New Mexico
Texas
Contracting Paperwork
Contracting paperwork must be signed and dated with the current date and submitted to the FGL office within seven calendar days of the sign date. New business applications dated earlier than the contract effective date for any of the above listed states will not be accepted.
